PART 13: Grimsby Career Mode-FIFA 17

EFL League Two-Matchday 39-Sunday 26th March 2017
Grimsby Town (O.Bogle) def by. PORTSMOUTH (A.Linganzi & G.Roberts) 2
Blundell Park
Crowd: 8,051

Ty Stedman-"We went into today's game as you all know with the chance to go top of the league if results went out way but we couldn't get the job done. Portsmouth are one of the competition's best sides and they were far too classy for us today. Omar's goal gave us a lifeline but it was too tough an ask.

EFL League Two-Matchday 40-Wednesday 29th March 2017
Grimsby Town (S.Tuton & T.Buhagiar-PEN) 2 def. Morecambe (A.Wildig) 1
Blundell Park
Crowd: 8,012

Ty Stedman-"We've had some defensive issues as of late and that continued today with the goal they scored. Absolute shambles in my mind at the back but we worked our way back. Morecambe were solid at the back and we had accepted a draw was the likely result.

The last minute penalty was controversial in my eyes and I feel like Morecambe will feel hard done by. Their keeper did take Shaun Tuton out but the ball was heading out. Still, it's a 50/50 call that went our way, the keeper was sent off and their goalscorer wasn't high odds to save Trent's penalty. We'll take our luck when we get it."

EFL League Two-Matchday 41-Saturday 1st April 2017
PLYMOUTH ARGYLE (G.Carey-PEN) 1 def. Grimsby Town 0
Home Park
Crowd: 15,394

Ty Stedman-"Well we came here expecting an action-packed game and that's what we got. Plymouth have been the best side in the league so we knew it'd be a challenge. That being said, we played a brilliant game and just let ourselves down in front of the goal. The handball in the box killed us right after half-time and gave them an advantage. That's probably the title race over but we're aiming to seal automatic promotion."

EFL League Two-Matchday 42-Saturday 8th April 2017
Carlisle United (J.McKee) 1 def by. GRIMSBY TOWN (T.Buhagiar x2, O.Bogle & M.Ellis-OG) 4
Brunton Park
Crowd: 4,835

Ty Stedman-"The Plymouth game ended our title hopes but we were dead set on automatic promotion and today's result takes us a step closer. Trent Buhagiar's form is brilliant at the moment and he probably missed four or five chances that could have seen him get a hat-trick. Everything went our way today."
