PART 8: Grimsby Career Mode-FIFA 17

EFL League Two-Matchday 21-Saturday 10th December 2016
Crewe Alexandra 0 def by. GRIMSBY TOWN (B.Comley, T.Buhagiar-PEN & A.Boyce) 3
Gresty Road
Crowd: 4,021

Ty Stedman-"We wanted to build on our recent league form and we got the job done fairly well today. Being 2-0 up at half time was a good start and we finished the game in style, perhaps unlucky not to grab an extra goal or two. Trent's goalscoring form continued and he finally broke his penalty drought which helps his confidence. We're in fifth I believe and we're definitely not ruling out a push for automatic promotion."

GRIMSBY TOWN (T.Buhagiar) 1 def. Yeovil Town 0
Blundell Park
Crowd: 7,424

Ty Stedman-"That was quite a testing game. We created plenty of chances but weren't able to pounce on them. It would have been nice not to have to ride out a tight 1-0 win but that's football. We managed to keep Yeovil's chances to a minimum and considering we have them again in a week or two, it'll give us a lot of confidence going into it."

EFL League Two-Matchday 23-Wednesday 21st December 2016
Morecambe (M.Rose, J.Dunn, A.Wildig) 3 def by. GRIMSBY TOWN (O.Bogle x2, T.Buhagiar & L.Rose) 4
Globe Arena
Crowd: 4,892

Ty Stedman-"If I have to be honest, I'll come straight out and say that our 2nd half performance was poor. We started right off the bat, Omar scored quickly and then we let one in but Trent's goal put us ahead and we managed two more goals before half-time. 4-1 up at half-time, it would have been nice to go on with the job. Goal differential could be key for us.

Instead of scoring one or two more, we fell apart defensively. I set the goal at half-time of not letting them get another goal. That's with no disrespect to Morecambe but we wanted to keep a 2nd half clean sheet so to speak. To barely escape the ground with the three points shows that we have work to do. We can't afford complacency. The positive is that we won and it's now eight wins in nine games for us."

EFL League Two-Matchday 24-Saturday 24th December 2016
Yeovil Town 0 def by. GRIMSBY TOWN (S.McAllister) 1
Huish Park
Crowd: 4,584

Ty Stedman-"We came into today with knowledge of Yeovil Town from last Saturday's match but again they really made us work for it. We played better last week and should have won by more whereas  today we were incredibly fortunate to get away with the points. We'll happily take the three points but it was a lucky day at the office."
