PART 61: Grimsby Career Mode-FIFA 17

Premier League-Matchday 7-Saturday 3rd October 2020
Grimsby Town 0 drew. Swansea City 0
Blundell Park
Crowd: 9,007

Ty Stedman-"Today was a definite improvement and then some on what we produced at Sunderland last weekend. We really took the fight to Swansea City and we had the more looks at goal. Mark Birighitti was strong in goals for them and it's good to see a fellow Aussie hitting peak form but we feel like two points slipped away.

Discipline wasn't really good for us. We've got to knuckle down and try and lower our yellow card count. Our defenders did a decent job today but one or two tackles weren't the best and we'll look at improving that for next time. We can't really give away pointless fouls when we're in control of the match."

Premier League-Matchday 8-Friday 16th October 2020
Middlesbrough 0 def by. GRIMSBY TOWN (T.Buhagiar-PEN) 1
Riverside Stadium
Crowd: 30,230

Ty Stedman-"Wins don't have to be pretty and tonight was proof of that. We got a penalty early on that yes in my opinion was very debatable and I can understand Middlesbrough feeling hard done by. Luck can only go one way and it went our way in that case.

Once we grabbed that lead we just put in an excellent shift defensively. We had the chances to wrap the win up but we were comfortable in keeping that clean sheet. Defence wins games and it was a case of that tonight. Middlesbrough have been a tricky test for us every game so it's nice to come here and produce the goods."

Premier League-Matchday 9-Sunday 25th October 2020
GRIMSBY TOWN (W.Reid-OG) 1 def. West Ham United 0
Blundell Park
Crowd: 9,021

Ty Stedman-"We've had the run of luck over the past few weeks. Whilst I thought we were slightly the better team and had the more clear cut chances, we didn't look like leaving with all three points as West Ham's defensive unit were working overtime and putting in the hard yards.

We've struggled to score goals as of late, especially from open play. And really we got very lucky at the end there with the deflected own goal. I can't say we deserved the three points as we wasted some chances but we'll certainly take them and continue to hold our heads high about our quality defending."

Premier League-Matchday 10-Monday 2nd November 2020
QPR 0 drew. Grimsby Town 0
Loftus Road
Crowd: 15,874

Ty Stedman-"We blew a good chance tonight to move into the 5th position. A few teams above us dropped points over the weekend and it was over to us to get the three points and overtake them. QPR just kept us grounded and we never really got going, despite a few promising attacks.

Defensively I thought we were all over the place and lucky not to lose it. All our work was done going forward and we had to hold on for dear life a few times at the back. It would have been nice to make it three straight wins and move up to 5th but this competition is full of teams that are simply hard to beat. We didn't do enough to win it."
