PART 6: Grimsby Career Mode-FIFA 17

Checkatrade Trophy-Area Quarter Final-Tuesday 8th November 2016
Leyton Orient (J.Simpson) 1 def by. GRIMSBY TOWN (S.Davies) 1
Grimsby win 5-4 on Penalties
Brisbane Road
Crowd: 5,910

Ty Stedman-"Well I think we've proven how much we like to do things the hard way. Going to extra time after dominating the majority of the game was tough but we grabbed a lead. And then of course the obligatory 119th minute equaliser. It's just been our luck this year and fortunately the penalty shootout went out way again.

I'd be silly not to mention Sean Davies from our academy and reserve team. He made his senior debut tonight and scored our only goal. He's arguably the best young player at the club's academy and he proved himself tonight."

EFL League Two-Matchday 16-Saturday 12th November 2016
GRIMSBY TOWN (O.Bogle) 1 def. Colchester United 0
Blundell Park
Crowd: 7,102

Ty Stedman-"There's got to be some mixed feelings tonight. We weren't too clinical in attack and let Colchester create some momentum at times but we caught them out on the counter at the end and grabbed a fairly cheap goal looking at it from their point of view. I'm not sure we deserved the win but we'll take a 90th minute winner and build on it. We're up into 10th and eyeing off the top seven. It's where we want to be."

EFL League Two-Matchday 17-Saturday 19th November 2016
NOTTS COUNTY (J.Forte-PEN) 1 def. Grimsby Town 0
Meadow Lane
Crowd: 10,629

Ty Stedman-"It was another one of those days that we've endured so often this season. We had the chances to change our fate but we couldn't. They got their goal from the penalty spot and that's all she wrote. We took it to one of the competition heavyweights but ultimately we've fallen further away from the playoff spots. We'll bounce back but this one hurts."

EFL League Two-Matchday 18-Tuesday 22nd November 2016
GRIMSBY TOWN (T.Buhagiar x2 & A.Boyce) 3 def. Stevenage (C.Hunte) 1
Blundell Park
Crowd: 4,102

Ty Stedman-"We wanted to bounce back from the Notts County loss where we played well but couldn't grab anything from the game. Boycey's opener was cancelled out but Trent grabbed a brace in the 2nd half to continue a great season for himself in front of goal. We brought him in to score goals and he's excelling at a rate of knots. We're playing attractive football and we're in 8th so it's certainly travelling nicely."
