PART 54: Grimsby Career Mode-FIFA 17

Premier League-Matchday 24-Sunday 15th February 2020
Tottenham 0 def by. GRIMSBY TOWN (T.Buhagiar) 1
New White Hart Lane
Crowd: 60,435

Ty Stedman-"Well what a change of fortune we've had as of late. We haven't won more than one league game in a row since September so it's a huge three points for us today. Tottenham are top of the league and we've taken six points off them this season. It's unbelievable really.

We've conceded some quality goals over the last few months, a few going in off the bar. Today that trend was broken when they hit the bar and it fell to us and set off the counter-attack. Marco Rojas hit the crossbar and then Trent Buhagiar volleyed it in. Luck favours the brave and we were certainly that today. Backs against the wall and a big three points that takes us 13 points clear of the drop zone. It's been a massive two weeks."

Premier League-Matchday 25-Sunday 22nd February 2020
GRIMSBY TOWN (M.Rojas) 1 def. Southampton 0
Blundell Park
Crowd: 8,921

Ty Stedman-"That was a very hard-fought match-up and really I have to say I'm a tad disappointed in the way we played out the first half. Marco Rojas scored a great goal early on and we piled tonnes of pressure on Southampton for no reward. Passes were wayward, shots weren't on target. We should have had it wrapped up by half-time.

If you leave the door open, teams like Southampton will fight their way back into it. They're bottom of the table and having a shocker of a season so any points will be valuable and they certainly gave us a fair few scares in the second half. We need to finish teams off if we want success. Defensively though we did just enough to make up for a weak showing further forward."

Premier League-Matchday 26-Sunday 1st March 2020
Grimsby Town (P.Souare-OG) 1 def by. CRYSTAL PALACE (W.Zaha, L.Paredes & M.Sanson) 3
Blundell Park
Crowd: 9,041

Ty Stedman-"We can't provide any excuses. We didn't show up and we were firmly disposed of before half-time. 3-0 down at the break, we showed some character to keep it at that and get one back via an own goal but honestly, that first half of football was the worst we've produced this season.

It's very hard to not have a bad game here or there but the way we played today was just disgraceful at times. Harsh words have to be used to describe a performance like that and trust me, we won't be doing the same again next week. We'll be stepping up and fixing the problems that were on show today."
