PART 5: Grimsby Career Mode-FIFA 17

EFL League Two-Matchday 12-Saturday 16th October 2016
GRIMSBY TOWN (A.Chambers & T.Buhagiar) 2 def. Cheltenham Town 0
Blundell Park
Crowd: 6,829

Ty Stedman-"It's a relief to finally break that winless league run. As I've been saying, there's plenty of football to play in such a long season but the duck had to be broken. Cheltenham won the league last season and finished well clear of us so to beat them now is a bit of added feeling on top of the win.

Ashley Chambers was by far our best today. He scored a cracking header and then set up Trent's header as well. We may have found the answers to our goalscoring problems. We took a more direct route at goal today and played in a lot more crosses. It's what we've been lacking; the ability to change it up on the fly and exploit the opposition's weak spots."

EFL League Two-Matchday 13-Tuesday 18th October 2016
Portsmouth (B.Close) 1 drew. Grimsby Town (T.Buhagiar) 1
Fratton Park
Crowd: 12,939

Ty Stedman-"I'm not going to try and mask my frustration. We took a lead in the first half and then threw it all away with poor defending later in the match. We limited them in terms of chances created but that one horror lapse at the back cost us the points. Missing one on ones isn't helping either. To our credit, we managed to match it with one of the division's premier teams but we wanted more than what we got."

EFL League Two-Matchday 14-Saturday 23rd October 2016
Grimsby Town 0 def by. LEYTON ORIENT (G.Massey & R.Weir) 2
Blundell Park
Crowd: 7,940

Ty Stedman-"Let me start of by apologising to the 7000 or so fans that showed up today. We gave away a sloppy foul on halfway in the 2nd minute and somehow they've kicked it long and got a head to it. Poor defending and it just go worse from there. Ashley Chambers was sent off right on half time for an unnecessary challenge and he along with the rest of the team know better.

We simply let discipline go out the window and frustrations boiled over. We barely made an attempt to get back into the game and once they scored a second we were done. We're not hiding though. We'll put our collective hands up, I'll put my hand up, that wasn't what our fans deserve to see. We'll have 25% off all food and drinks next home game for our season ticket holders as an apology of sorts for today's outing."

EFL League Two-Matchday 15-Saturday 30th October 2016
Blackpool 0 def by. GRIMSBY TOWN (T.Buhagiar x2 & C.Disley) 3
Bloomfield Road
Crowd: 3,422

Ty Stedman-"It's funny what a week can do. I don't think any of you media personnel will be surprised to hear that we went through some real home truths during the week on the training ground. We've had enough and today we went out with the mentality of winning at all costs.

The formation change was a risk having five at the back. It took away some of the gloss in attack but we really punished them when we got our chances. Trent Buhagiar started today over Omar Bogle which six weeks ago wasn't in the plans but a double today proved why he is leading the line for us and he also just got named Player of the Month for the whole division. He's in form."
