PART 46: Grimsby Career Mode-FIFA 17

Clarke-Salter Signing News & Premier League Plans:

Ty Stedman-"At this early stage, we've only got one incoming signing, that being Jake Clarke-Salter, a centre-back from Bristol Rovers. Our budget is nothing compared to the big clubs so we go for shoestring sort of signings. Money isn't what got us here so we're not concerned. We'll fight with what we have."

Double-Signing:

Ty Stedman-"I'm very excited to confirm our two Australian signings today. The first being Scott Galloway who can be deployed at left or right back and comes to us from Barnsley. He was an original target of mine when I arrived here but we had to look elsewhere after he joined Barnsley.

We've signed another attacking midfielder as well to just boost our depth a little bit. Devante Clut was at the Newcastle Jets in Australia, my hometown team and is highly regarded. He'll fit in well with the likes of Sean Davies in that area of the field."

Chelsea Signing Jamie Wilson:

Ty Stedman-"Jamie Wilson's departure from Grimsby Town FC can be confirmed. He is a highly-rated product of our very successful youth system and came up through the first team squad over the last two seasons. We're heartbroken to lose him but you can't hold a potential star from moving to a team like Chelsea.

As a result, we've been inundated with money from Chelsea for Wilson. They were very generous in their transfer fees and we'll look straight away at bringing in a replacement of equal quality at least."

Double Signing From Melbourne Victory:

Ty Stedman-"We have a distinct Australian flavour here, I myself, half the coaching staff. And now we have Oliver Bozanic as a depth-boosting midfielder. You need age and experience in the Premier League and Oli has played at a high-level for a few years now.

And as promised, we have a new left winger. Marco Rojas. Not Australian but a Kiwi which is near enough and trust me, he will bring some class to this side. I don't sign players I feel won't contribute to the squad. We're delighted with our signings and we're chomping at the bit for August 18th. Away to Crystal Palace on what is a new beginning for this club."
