PART 43: Grimsby Career Mode-FIFA 17

Bruno Fornaroli ACL Injury

Ty Stedman-"Luck has often been on our side with injuries over my time here but after just getting Liam Kinsella back from a lengthy stint on the sidelines, we've had Bruno Fornaroli ruled out for the season with an ACL tear. He had an awkward fall during a routine training session and unfortunately the doctors have told me our worst fears were confirmed with scans.

We're not panicking at all. Bruno is a classy player and a valuable striker but we have Trent Buhagiar smashing in goals lately and Omar Bogle is a suitable replacement. We'll try and cope with what we've got."

St. Andrew's
Crowd: 18,047

Ty Stedman-"Today's game was in my mind the one that confirms us as a serious chance for a push to the Premier League. We're not scared of where we're heading and we've overcome every obstacle we've faced. Birmingham had us on the brink of a loss at half-time but the 2nd half showed our true value.

Lots of media outlets wrote us off due to Bruno Fornaroli's injury but I keep saying we have a striker who is in my mind one of the best in the league. Trent Buhagiar scored his maiden hat-trick for us today after coming so close on multiple occasions in the past. He's the leading scorer in the league, we're top by two points. That impossible dream is starting to look possible."

EFL Championship-Matchday 39-Saturday 13th April 2019
Wigan Athletic (N.Powell x2) 2 drew. Grimsby Town (O.Bogle & D.Daniels-OG) 2
DW Stadium
Crowd: 13,128

Ty Stedman-"Wigan Athletic have drawn the most games in the competition and as you all know, we're always a good chance of producing a draw, regardless of opponents. It was a helluva entertaining opening with three goals in fifteen minutes but really we felt we could and probably should have won it."

EFL Championship-Matchday 40-Tuesday 16th April 2019
Grimsby Town 0 def by. BURNLEY (P.Bamford & L.Kinsella-OG) 2
Blundell Park
Crowd: 8,409

Ty Stedman-"It's never good to lose a game on home turf but honestly our form has been superb and we were very unlucky today. Everything went Burnley's way and it broke a 16-game unbeaten run for us. We're still in the top two and we have our sights set firmly on proving all the naysayers wrong and reaching the Premier League."

EFL Championship-Matchday 41-Friday 19th April 2019
GRIMSBY TOWN (J.Allen x2 & O.Bogle) 3 def. Oxford United 0
Blundell Park
Crowd: 8,373

Ty Stedman-"I don't really know what to say about tonight's game. We were forced to field a squad with fatigue and players out of position. Jordan Allen who is our youngest player, normally a winger was up front and grabbed two goals, an assist and Man of the Match. Oxford with respect allowed us to have full control. They are already relegated and it's a shame a side we came up with crashed so quickly."
