PART 41: Grimsby Career Mode-FIFA 17

The Emirates FA Cup-Round 4 Replay-Tuesday 12th February 2019
GRIMSBY TOWN (B.Fornaroli-PEN) 1 def. Middlesbrough 0
Blundell Park
Crowd: 9,011

Ty Stedman-"Teams underestimate the importance of a home crowd. We were delighted to earn a late draw at the Riverside and bring the tie back here. Tonight proved what we can do against mid-table Premier League opposition. On our day we can knock them off. They gave us a penalty early and we wasted many chances after that. I think I'm being fair in saying we could have won by more.

As you all have just heard, we've drawn Liverpool at home in the Round of 16. It's the biggest game I've had here and I doubt the club has too many bigger games in the history book. We'll be honoured to have Jurgen Klopp's Reds here at Blundell Park. They're in the Champions League and are a top four quality side. We know it's a mountain for us to climb."

EFL Championship-Matchday 32-Saturday 16th February 2019
GRIMSBY TOWN (T.Buhagiar x2) def. Cardiff City (L.Immers) 1
Blundell Park
Crowd: 8,375

Ty Stedman-"We beat Cardiff in Wales earlier this season and we did well today although we did make it very difficult with that horror back pass leading to their equaliser. The penalty was taken well and Trent's second goal was timely with five minutes to go. We'll take the three points happily as it gives us confidence for the Liverpool game."

The Emirates FA Cup-Round of 16-Saturday 23rd February 2019
Grimsby Town 0 def by. LIVERPOOL (T.Alexander-Arnold) 1
Blundell Park
Crowd: 9,040

Ty Stedman-"Well to be honest with you, I'm extremely disappointed with the way we played today. With respect to Liverpool, they didn't field their best eleven and with a few youth players out there I thought we could really take the match to them. We just didn't do any of that and our defending was shambles at times.

In my eyes we were starstruck by one of the country's biggest clubs and we just didn't do anything to try and win it. Liverpool should have led three-nil at half-time. The fact that it was only one-nil shows luck more than anything. Our attacking was poor, our ball-playing lacked, our defending was awful. Good goalkeeping kept us in it but yeah, it's not a match I want to talk about fondly."

EFL Championship-Matchday 33-Tuesday 26th February 2019
QPR 0 drew. Grimsby Town 0
Loftus Road
Crowd: 16,079

Ty Stedman-"I'm fairly sure we'll go down as the team with the most scoreless draws in a season. We've had it time and time again this year where we've defended so well just to have our finishing let us down. But in fairness, no-one expected us to be here. We're in the top six of the 2nd tier and we're every chance of pulling off the impossible if we show up on our day."
