PART 32: Grimsby Career Mode-FIFA 17

EFL Championship-Matchday 1-Saturday 11th August 2018
Grimsby Town 0 drew. Blackburn Rovers 0
Blundell Park
Crowd: 8,975

Ty Stedman-"We came here expecting a tough game today and that's what we got. Both teams created plenty of chances and I was generally pleased with how we matched it with them. The jump up to the Championship is a huge one for us and to get this first game out of the way and come out with some confidence will help us big time in the long run."

EFL Cup-Round 1-Tuesday 14th August 2018
GRIMSBY TOWN (N.Doyle & O.Bogle) 2 def. Sheffield United 0
Blundell Park
Crowd: 7,255

Ty Stedman-"There was some added interest going into tonight's game after our cup run last season. The local media have jumped on board and even national media seem to be following us more in case of more heroics. We're not concerned about the added pressure and we did the job we wanted to do tonight. Nathan Doyle scoring on starting debut was a nice moment."

EFL Championship-Matchday 2-Sunday 19th August 2018
Oxford United 0 drew. Grimsby Town 0
Kassam Stadium
Crowd: 6,823

Ty Stedman-"Scoreless draws were becoming a repetitive feature for us last season. The last two games have been tight but I thought we deserved the three points today. We worked hard in attack and just couldn't find the back of the net. A point away from home is a good point but we planned on getting all three. Just didn't happen for us today."

EFL Championship-Matchday 3-Wednesday 22nd August 2018
Grimsby Town (T.Buhagiar) 1 drew. Wigan Athletic (W.Grigg) 1
Blundell Park
Crowd: 8,414

Ty Stedman-"Football can be a brilliant game with a range of emotions. Pure delight some nights and then some nights it can be an absolute contrast. We worked so hard and we finally grabbed our first goal in the league season, only for Wigan to score a cracker in stoppage time and take a point. Take nothing away from Will Grigg's finish but we just can't buy luck at the moment."
