PART 22: Grimsby Career Mode-FIFA 17

The Emirates FA Cup-Round 2-Saturday 2nd December 2017
GRIMSBY TOWN (J.Wilson & M.Thuram) 2 def. Northampton Town (M.Richards) 1
Blundell Park
Crowd: 8,598

Ty Stedman-"The FA Cup is a real opportunity for us to achieve something. I'm not saying we're going to win the thing but to get to the next round and draw a Premier League team in Sunderland shows what value this win is. Northampton were again a tricky test but we overcome it and now we look forward to hosting one of the biggest clubs in the country."

Checkatrade Trophy-Area Semi Final-Tuesday 5th December 2017
SHREWSBURY TOWN (A.Leitch-Smith) 1 def. Grimsby Town 0
New Meadow
Crowd: 3,871

Ty Stedman-"We were treating this competition as winnable and after being two wins away from a Wembley appearance last year, once again we've fallen at the same hurdle. Shrewsbury pounced on our slow start to the game and we couldn't catch up. It's very disappointing to again be that close to a trip to Wembley Stadium but fall short."

EFL League One-Matchday 20-Saturday 9th December 2017
Bradford City 0 def by. GRIMSBY TOWN (B.Davies & T.Buhagiar) 2
Blundell Park
Crowd: 16,740

Ty Stedman-"Bradford are a historically strong side so it was great to be able to play in front of such a large crowd. It's good experience for the players and to put in a performance like we did showed our worth. December is the busiest month of the year so there isn't much time to celebrate this win. It's back to business for us."

EFL League One-Matchday 21-Saturday 16th December 2017
GRIMSBY TOWN (T.Buhagiar) 1 def. Walsall 0
Blundell Park
Crowd: 8,938

Ty Stedman-"It's crucial to grind out points in December and we did just that today. Once again Trent Buhagiar delivered up front and our defensive unit and goalkeeper delivered at the back. I'm pleased with the amount of clean sheets we're recording this season. It shows what this team is capable of."
