PART 19: Grimsby Career Mode-FIFA 17

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

EFL League One-Matchday 10-Friday 29th September 2017
Grimsby Town (T.Buhagiar-PEN) 1 drew. Fleetwood Town (A.Bell) 1
Blundell Park
Crowd: 7,924

Ty Stedman-"It was a weird game for us tonight. Going behind to a headed goal is never a good thing but we scrambled well and really we had enough chances to win two games. We wasted those chances but fortunately we were able to convert from the penalty spot. Disappointing to drop points at home but we're happy not to lose."

Checkatrade Trophy-Round 2-Wednesday 4th October 2017
GRIMSBY TOWN (T.Buhagiar-PEN & M.Thuram) 2 def. Fleetwood Town (D.Cole & D.Bell) 2
Grimsby win 4-2 via Penalties
Blundell Park
Crowd: 7,050

Ty Stedman-"Fleetwood are a very tricky team to play. Once again I thought we had the better of the chances and the crowd were spurring us on but they wouldn't go away. It throws a spanner into the works when the opposition scores in the final minute to send it to penalties but luck was on our side."

EFL League One-Matchday 11-Saturday 7th October 2017
Coventry City (C.Stokes) 1 drew. Grimsby Town (E.Turner) 1
Ricoh Arena
Crowd: 13,112

Ty Stedman-"It's better to leave with a point than nothing but with a lead in the final ten minutes, we're very disappointed we weren't able to hold on, especially after doing just that with ten men in the cup game against Coventry. It was great to see academy graduate Elliot Turner finally score his first goal. It's been a while coming as today was his 18th senior appearance."

EFL League One-Matchday 12-Saturday 14th October 2017
Grimsby Town 0 drew. Millwall 0
Blundell Park
Crowd: 8,342

Ty Stedman-"I don't want to call today boring but neither team were at their best and for the fans of both sides I think it would have been a disappointment. Both sides sit in the top six so I'm not sure if we just cancelled each other out but it was a strange game. We're in a habit of drawing and with the table as tight as it is, we have to win a few games soon or risk falling away."
