PART 16: Grimsby Career Mode-FIFA 17

EFL League One-Matchday 1-Saturday 5th August 2017
GRIMSBY TOWN (T.Buhagiar) 1 def. Port Vale 0
Blundell Park
Crowd: 8,141

Ty Stedman-"It was a long off-season and we put in the hard yards over the pre-season and it all paid off today. We wanted to win our League One opener and send a message that we're here to compete. It's good to see Trent continue his goalscoring form of last season and Marcus Thuram impressed on debut. We'll build on what we did today."

EFL League One-Matchday 2-Saturday 12th August 2017
Shrewsbury Town (G.Deegan) 1 drew. Grimsby Town (T.Buhagiar) 1
New Meadow
Crowd: 5,492

Ty Stedman-"We didn't do ourselves any favours today missing that chance early on and of course going behind in the first twenty minutes. At half-time we spoke about maximising our chances and Trent Buhagiar did just that and in my eyes we were the better side during the 2nd half but we weren't able to take the three points. It's very early days."

EFL League One-Matchday 3-Saturday 19th August 2017
Grimsby Town (T.Buhagiar-PEN) 1 def by. BRISTOL ROVERS (S.Sinclair & E.Harrison)
Blundell Park
Crowd: 7,906

Ty Stedman-"It's tough to describe today's game. Rovers took their chances when they came and we just weren't up for it. It's only our 6th home loss since I arrived so I'm hoping it doesn't become a habit. As mentioned after the last game, it's early season and it's a good time to shake off these sort of performances.
