PREVIEW: EPL Week 4 (Written by Alex Evans)

Alex's Game of the Round

Bournemouth v Leicester
Many may be surprised by this being my game of the round but these are my reasons why.

Bournemouth are now finding form after a great away win over West Ham last week. Cherries forward Callum Wilson got himself a hattrick and man of the match last week. He is one if not Bournemouth's best player. He was a major reason why Bournemouth got promoted last year. I can see him playing for England in the next couple of years. Bournemouth need as many points as they can this year, meaning home games should and will be treated like cup finals for them.

Leicester continued their impressive form to the start of the season against Tottenham after a tipped 1-1 draw. Claudio Ranieri has organised his team well so far this season and will be hoping to improve on that. Riyad Mahrez has already scored 4 goals this season, scoring in every match. The Algerian is surprising everyone this season and could be a potential contender for the golden boot?

This game could end up in any outcome. I want to say Bournemouth but I can't go past Leicester's recent form.

I'm going for the draw here. Prediction: Bournemouth 2-2 Leicester
/////-----------------------------------------------------///// Newcastle v Arsenal Newcastle are starting to find form this season, especially at the back after an impressive 0-0 draw at Old Trafford last week. Fabricio Coloccini was outstanding last week and he was the reason why they came away with something last week. Newcastle's forwards need to improve for me also.

Arsenal will be looking for 3 points this week and seeking to improve after a disappointing 0-0 draw against Liverpool at home. I say disappointing because if it wasn't for poor finishing from the Liverpool forwards they would have been beat easily. However, don't take anything away from Petr Cech having said that. What a game he had, and for his sake he kind of needed it before fans started getting on his back. There was one save that caught my eye from Cech. Roberto Firmino played in a low cross from the left side which fell to Benteke who's shot was incredibly saved from 2 yards out, it was amazing. There were a couple others that were astonishing as well.
Once again I'm going a draw.

Prediction: Newcastle 1-1 Arsenal
/////-----------------------------------------------------///// Aston Villa v Sunderland Two teams that are yet to find from this year. I don't have much to say on this game apart from consistency is the key for these two teams. After winning there first game, Villa have lost there last 2 and Sunderland picked up there first point against Swansea. Defoe scored a Hattrick Tuesday night against Exeter in the League cup so for me he is there key player this year and probably Agbonlahor is Villas best player so far. Prediction: Villa 1-1 Sunderland

Chelsea v Crystal Palace

Chelsea got their first win of the season against West Brom on Sunday night however it came at a cost after captain John Terry was sent off. I watched this game and it was very eventful, 5 goals, penalties, red cards. Chelsea played ok however I've seen them play much better. New Signing Pedro was fantastic after bagging himself a goal, an assist and the man of the match. Kurt Zouma looks like he's secured his spot in the backline after an impressive performance.

Crystal Palace continued their impressive form to the season after a late goal from Bakary Sako over Villa. Like Sako, Palace have lots of youth talent such as Gayle, Zaha and experienced talent in Yohan Cabaye.

Chelsea should follow on from last weeks win here at Stamford Bridge. Prediction: Chelsea 3-1 Palace

Liverpool v West Ham
Liverpool once again kept a clean sheet against Arsenal on Monday night after some heroics from Belgian goalkeeper Simon Mignolet. After three games the red are still yet to concede. I'll be the first to admit that at the start of the season I thought Liverpool's backline was a bit shaky but they are proving me wrong. If it wasn't for Petr Cech on Monday, Liverpool would of easily won that. Coutinho hit the bar within the first 3 minutes and Benteke's first half shot was unbelievably saved from 3 yards out.

After a fantastic opening day of the season, West Ham have dropped 6 valuable point after losing to Leicester and Bournemouth at home. West Hams squad really does look quality, you only have to look at the names to think that, but they need to start improving and will need to try and get something at Anfield this week.

Liverpool to edge this one for me.
Prediction: Liverpool 2-1 West Ham

/////-----------------------------------------------------///// Manchester City v Watford

It wasn't easy for City however they did manage to pick up 3 points against Everton as Goodison Park on Sunday Night after a predicted 2-0 Win. City have not been troubled so far this season and remain the only team left in the competition to not drop points. As said at the start of the season, I think City will win the league this year. They have just way to much talent in their squad. All in all it was just another day at the office for city and another nice 3 points on the table.

Watford are proving to be a hard team to beat. 3 games, 3 draws. Two home games and no goals conceded. However they face their biggest challenge of the season this Saturday, a trip to the Etihad. If they can get anything out of this game this week I will be very surprised. All the promoted teams so far this season are off to a good start, however for me I can't see it lasting long. Man City for me here. Prediction: Manchester City 3-0 Watford
/////-----------------------------------------------------///// Stoke v West Brom Stokes Keeper Jack Butland was the reason they came away with a point last week against Norwich. He was in top form. New signing Xherdan Shaqiri did well however has yet to find the find the bag of the net for the Potters, he is the clubs biggest ever signing and every Potters fan will be hoping he can steer them to a top ten finish this year.

West Brom played well against Chelsea for me Sunday night. Another 5 more minutes and I think they would of got a point against the current champions who played the last 30 minutes with 10 men. Rondon had a fantastic game and he is proving to be a great signing for the Baggies.
This game could go either way for me. I'll tip a draw

Prediction: Stoke 2-2 West Brom

Tottenham v Everton

Tottenham have yet to win so far this season and Harry Kane is starting to get his first bit of doubt from the media and also the fans. The spurs need to find form if they want a top 6 finish.

Everton fought hard against City last week but couldn't finish there chances. The Toffees are 4 points from 9 this season however like Tottenham have yet to find any sort of consistency.

This game is always a good one to watch and once again, I'm going for a draw

Prediction: Tottenham 1-1 Everton

Southampton v Norwich

Southampton certainly have not shown their talent as they did last season. After 3 games things already look worrying for the saints. Graziano Pellè had a fantastic season last year but he has only found the back of the net once, in fact Southampton have only scored 2 goals this season and none I'm there last 2.

Norwich have started their season quite well and were unlucky not to pick up all three points at the Brittania Stadium. The Canaries don't have amazing players but they do have players who play as a team and work well together. Can this continue for the Green and Yellow?

I'm going to tip Southampton this week basically because... They need to.

Prediction Southampton 1-0 Norwich

Swansea v Manchester United

Swansea have started off very well this year and have already proved a lot of people wrong. Forwards, Gomis and Ayew are working well together and midfielders Shelvey and Sigurdsson are also doing well. I can easily see them being a top 10 team this year.

Manchester United have also started off well this season. Louis Van Gaal has certainly structured his side into an attacking one. Wayne Rooney ended his goal drought in style after scoring a hattrick in United's 4-0 away win against Clubbe Brugge in the Champions League qualifying stage. I have seen enough to already predict that they're a top 4 team this season.
For the sixth time this preview I am going to tip another draw.

Prediction Swansea 0-0 United
