PREVIEW: (New-FM) Toronto-Awaba v Lake Macquarie City 17's and 19's

Under 19's: Toronto-Awaba (11th) v Lake Macquarie City (3rd)
Kickoff: Wednesday 24/6 7:45pm
Last Time They Met: Lake Macquarie City 2-1 Toronto-Awaba

These two matches are the only New-FM catch-up games being played this week and it's an important catch-up game for the Lakes' Under 19's as they look to enter the top two with a win. Toronto-Awaba on the other hand are still looking for their first win of the season and an upset here would see them jump off the bottom of the table.

Lakes were the 2-1 victors back in Round 1 but looking at the sides' recent form I have a feeling that scoreline may be a bit more favourable to the Roosters this time round. Lakes have stormed up the Under 19's table recently and became the only side to beat top of the table Belmont-Swansea a couple of weeks back. Beating the bottom side should be routine.

My Tip: Toronto-Awaba 1-4 Lake Macquarie City

Under 17's: Toronto-Awaba (8th) v Lake Macquarie City (1st)
Kickoff: Wednesday 24/6 6:00pm
Last Time They Met: Lake Macquarie City 4-1 Toronto-Awaba

I think there's a bit of importance in this game as well. After slipping up against Belmont-Swansea and seeing their amazing winning streak come to an end last time out, the Lakes Under 17's need to bounce back to form and win tonight or they'll face the very real possibility of losing top spot over the next two games. Both Kahibah and Cooks Hill are still in the minor premiership race.

Toronto on the other hand will see their already slim finals hopes slip away if they lose tonight. In my opinion Wallsend's position in fourth is the only spot up for grabs and with four teams ahead of them in the race for fourth, Toronto could do with maximum points tonight.

Last time they met, Lakes won 4-1 and a scoreline like that certainly wouldn't be a surprise in this one. Lakes by a few.

My Tip: Toronto-Awaba 1-5 Lake Macquarie City

I tried to check the ladders on Fox Sports Pulse and they weren't anywhere near current so here are the ladders if you want to refresh your memory after the week off.
