The Wrap-Up:

Under 13's:

This is a new feature of my weekly reviews for the NPL Youth. I'll only mention a few things from each age division and try and make it informative at the same time. Broadmeadow kept their good form in the 13's with a convincing 4-1 victory over Maitland on Saturday. The Magpies remain in 9th as does Magic in 1st position.

Weston's Under 13's returned to the winners' circle with a 3-0 victory over 8th-placed Charlestown City. The young Bears are now just two points outside the top four. The Under 12 Emerging Jets handed Football Mid North Coast their first defeat of the season at Lake Macquarie, winning 1-0.

Lambton remained winless as they went down 1-3 to a Hamilton Olympic side that kept their spot in the top four alive with a win. Finally, South Cardiff picked up their third draw of the campaign with a 2-2 stalemate against Adamstown at Ulinga Oval.

Under 14's:

I have to point out the very impressive 8-1 victory for Broadmeadow's Under 14's as they outclassed a winless Maitland on Saturday morning. The young Magicians inched closer to top spot after both Adamstown and the Emerging Jets dropped points.

Charlestown City and Weston played out a scoreless stalemate whilst Mid North Coast picked up an impressive win on the road against the Emerging Jets. Hamilton were far too classy for struggling Lambton whilst in the final match of the round, South Cardiff picked up one of the upsets of the season, defeating ladder-leaders and previously unbeaten Adamstown.

Under 15's:

Broadmeadow Magic kept touch with Hamilton at the top of the table with a 2-0 win over Maitland whilst Charlestown City were impressive in a 3-0 victory over Weston at Lisle Carr Oval. On Sunday, the Under 14 Emerging Jets saw off Mid North Coast in a vital mid-table clash whilst it was a close call for top of the table Hamilton as they saw off Lambton 1-0. In the final match, South Cardiff picked up an impressive 2-2 draw against fourth-place Adamstown.

Under 17's:

I could copy and paste the first sentence from the Under 15's as Broadmeadow Magic's 17's have picked up a 2-0 win over Maitland to stay in touch with Hamilton at the top of the table. Weston also remained in the top three with a 1-0 win over mid-table Charlestown City.

The Under 15 Emerging Jets saw off Mid North Coast to consolidate their spot in the top four whilst top of the table Hamilton did enough to just get over the line against a game Lambton side. Here comes the copy and paste job again as South Cardiff and Adamstown drew the final match of the round 2-2.
