RESULTS: A-League Round 24

Performance of the Week:

Brisbane's 6-1 victory on Thursday night was a reminder of what the Roar can do on their best night. With the salary cap trouble hovering over the Glory, Brisbane can see a potential finals spot opening up and they're the team that will take it after sweeping the Mariners aside at Suncorp. It was a team performance to remember for the champions. Impressive all round.

Victory Flying To Premiership:

The Melbourne Victory have moved closer to the A-League premiership after a highly-impressive 3-0 away win in Wellington. The Phoenix were behind after less than a minute and the visitors never looked back from there. For the Phoenix it was a second-straight 3-0 home loss and that has to be turned around in the next couple of games as they head into the finals.

Fans Protest Against Club As Jets Crash To 2-0 Loss:

It was a good performance for the Glory after a week from hell. The off-field drama didn't carry onto the field and to be honest that's all the players can do at the moment. I'm not sure what will happen to Perth but their fans deserve better than what has and what might happen.

I was impressed and relieved to see the Jets' banner against Phil Stubbins and the ownership of the club. As a passionate Jets fan I can't express how disappointing this season has been. Newcastle deserves better. I'm sure Phil Stubbins is a nice-enough guy but in no way, shape or form do I think he's the man to take the Jets forward into 2015/16 and beyond. The decision-making has been abysmal and the results tell the story. 2 from 24 isn't good enough.
