2014/15 EPL Tips-Matchday 31

The Premier League is back after a two week break and it all kicks off on Saturday night with a blockbuster at the Emirates. This game is essentially do or die for Liverpool's top four hopes. Arsenal are the favourites and should get the job done against the Reds. A win would move the Gunners into 2nd spot with Man City to play later in the weekend.

My Tip: Arsenal 2-1 Liverpool

This is the biggest game of Leicester's season so far. The chance to pull off an escape from the drop zone is fading fast and it will all but end with a loss against West Ham United. It should be an entertaining clash with the home side no doubt willing to go all out. It's hard to tip a winner but for their sake I'll go with Leicester. They scored three last time out against Tottenham and this is a must-win game so expect some desperation.

My Tip: Leicester City 2-0 West Ham United

Hull City aren't exactly safe from relegation just yet but they're far enough away that a loss away to Swansea won't see the Tigers crash into the cellar. Swansea aren't in the European spots but have had a successful year under Garry Monk. I can't see it being a goal-fest but a Swansea win is my tip.

My Tip: Swansea City 1-0 Hull City

A big part of being a 'tipster' is tossing up why two sides could win a particular game. This game I can only realistically see one winner. Sure Villa will be fighting hard to avoid slipping towards the drop zone but United have much more pressure in their race for the Champions League. This is a game that United shouldn't loss and in my opinion they won't.

My Tip: Man United 3-0 Aston Villa

*Game is Actually On Sunday Morning (1am AEDT)

QPR are staring down the barrel of relegation and their away form this season has been absolutely horrendous. West Brom on the other hand are all but safe from relegation and a win here will allow the Baggies to wave goodbye to any fears of going down this season. West Brom all the way for my money.

My Tip: West Brom 3-1 QPR

Everton are another side that are still mathematically a chance of being relegated but realistically they are safe and a win here would throw away the slim chances of Everton going down. They're in a bit of form to after two straight wins.

Southampton though will be hoping to seal a Europa League spot and a win in this game would be crucial for that. I'm going against the betting markets and tipping a Southampton victory here.

My Tips: Everton 1-2 Southampton

Chelsea still have a game in hand over 2nd-placed Manchester City and are currently six points ahead of their nearest title rivals. The Blues home form in recent times hasn't been spectacular which is why I'm tipping them to step it up to another level against Stoke. A win would go a long way towards lifting the title and with all due respect to Stoke, I can't see the Blues losing this one.

My Tip: Chelsea 3-0 Stoke City

This is an important game for both sides. Burnley could potentially jump out of the drop zone with a win whilst Tottenham are still locked in a race for the Europa League spots. Something has to give at Turf Moor on Sunday night.

As much as I'd like to tip Burnley I can't go past Tottenham here. It could be a draw but a Burnley win is a bit of a long ask in my opinion. I'm going for a Spurs win as they look to build some late season form.

My Tip: Burnley 1-2 Tottenham

The Tyne-Weir derby is always a fiery clash and it'll be no different with the Black Cats looking to move away from the drop zone with a win over their arch rivals. Newcastle fans I'm sure would love an away win at the Stadium of Light and the chance to potentially send Sunderland into the bottom three. My tip here is an entertaining draw.

My Tip: Draw 2-2

I'm a fan of the 'Cityzens' but don't get me wrong, this is a danger game for Manchester City. Crystal Palace have a lot of confidence following two straight wins, including a big victory away to Stoke last time out.

City on the other hand haven't set the world on fire and some of their senior players really need to step up. The title could be gone by the end of this round. I'm tipping a draw in this one.

My Tip: Crystal Palace 1-1 Manchester City
