Performance of the Week:
(Wellington 0-3 Sydney FC)
Sydney FC blasted themselves back into premiership contention with a big 3-0 win against the ladder leaders in Wellington. Even without their main man Mark Janko, the Sky Blues put on a 1st half clinic as they shot into an three-way tie for second place.
Other Games:
Melbourne Victory picked up another crucial win with a 2-1 victory over the Central Coast Mariners. It was a brave display from the out of form Mariners but Gui Finkler's brilliance got the home side over the line.
Melbourne City all but sealed their spot in the finals with a crucial win over Brisbane Roar. The defending champions are now in severe doubt of making the finals this season.
Perth Glory finally snapped their winless run with a much-needed 3-2 victory over the Western Sydney. The Glory kept their premiership hopes alive and will now look to build up some form in the run-up to the finals.
And finally, Adelaide weren't spectacular in their 1-0 win against the lowly Jets. I was on hand for this game and the Reds did enough to get over the line against a poor-finishing Jets outfit.
